The Freedom of Information Act came into force in 2000.
The Act obliges the parish council to provide information through a Publication Scheme in response to requests made by members of the public, and a new scheme came into operation on January 1st 2009.

Information regarding meetings, etc is always put up on the village noticeboard, and in the bus shelter, and can also be found on the website.
This information is, of course, free on the website, or noticeboards, but a charge of 10p per A4 sheet can be levied for hard copies.

Visitors to the rec will notice that two signs have just been erected to deter motor bike riders from using the whole area, including the pit, as a racetrack.  Following advice from the police, the signs are specifically worded to draw the bike riders' attention to the fact that they are breaking the law and will face prosecution. Suffolk Constabulary have been actively involved in combating this activity, and have made it clear that they will not hesitate in the prosecution of offenders.
