A planning meeting of the Parish Council was held on Tuesday, 22nd January 2008 at 6.30pm in Eyke Village Hall.
Present: Mr Adams, Mr Shaw, Mr Whitmore and the clerk.
As this was an extraordinary meeting to discuss a planning application, no minutes were read, nor other business dealt with.
1. Planning Application C08/0020. Received 12.1.08. Eyke House, The Street, Eyke IP12 2QW. Construction of open air swimming pool and utilize adjacent garage and stable to provide pool accommodation, for Mr and Mrs N Abu-Hejleh.
The Parish Council supported this application.
2. Planning application C08/0013. Received 12.1.08. The Warren, 1, Ufford Road, Eyke IP12 2QE. Erection of first floor extension and dormer window.
Councillors considered 3 letters of objection to the proposal which cited loss of light and privacy, difficulty with parking and alterations out of keeping with the existing character of the terrace.
Having considered the plans thoroughly, Councillors supported the objections raised, and asked the clerk to confirm to the planning department that the application in its current form could not be supported.
This closed the meeting at 7.10pm.
